Every bubble you breathe contributes to protecting Vietnam's marine ecosystem. Together with Sasa Team, we're restoring reefs, rescuing marine life, and clearing ghost nets.

Sasa Team is Nha Trang's dedicated marine animal rescue center, founded in 2019 by a passionate group of free-divers, engineers, and marine enthusiasts. Operating as a 100% non-profit organization, they respond 24/7 to marine emergencies along Vietnam's central coast.
Their mission extends beyond rescue – they actively restore coral reefs, remove deadly ghost nets from the seabed, and educate local communities about marine conservation. Every member volunteers their time and often self-funds operations to ensure rapid, transparent action.
We share Sasa Team's belief that diving comes with responsibility. By partnering with them, we ensure that every diver we train understands their role as stewards of the ocean. A portion of every course fee directly supports their rescue and restoration efforts.
From coral restoration to marine rescue, discover how we're protecting Vietnam's underwater world
Restoring Vietnam's Coral Gardens
At Bãi Bụt and Hòn Súp, we've restored over 40,000 m² of damaged reef. Our team carefully collects broken coral branches – often damaged by storms or anchors – and transplants them to underwater nurseries where they can regrow and thrive.
24/7 Emergency Response
When sea turtles (Vích), dolphins, or whales are injured by fishing nets or boat propellers, Sasa Team responds immediately. Our rescue operations include emergency medical care, rehabilitation at partner facilities, and careful release back into the wild.
Clearing Silent Killers
Abandoned fishing nets – called ghost nets – continue killing marine life indefinitely. They strangle sea turtles, trap fish, and smother coral. Our diving teams locate and carefully remove these deadly traps, freeing trapped animals and preventing future casualties.
Transparency & Independence
Sasa Team operates without government funding or corporate sponsors. Every member – from free-divers to marine biologists to engineers – volunteers their time and often pays their own expenses. This independence allows rapid, uncompromised action.
Every diver who trains with us becomes part of the conservation effort
Our courses emphasize eco-diving techniques: perfect buoyancy to avoid reef contact, awareness of marine life behavior, and responsible underwater practices.
Join organized debris removal dives. From collecting plastic to reporting ghost nets, every dive is an opportunity to give back to the ocean.
A portion of every course fee goes directly to Sasa Team's rescue and restoration fund, supporting their 24/7 operations.
Share what you learn with fellow divers and non-divers alike. Awareness is the first step toward meaningful marine conservation.
"When you dive with Vietnam Underneath, you're not just learning a skill – you're joining a community of ocean protectors."
